INTRODUCTION
The Model 786 Remote Monitoring and Control Solution represents the combined knowledge of Plunger Lift control systems developed by Well Master since its inception in 1984. Control options range from simple time controls to “smart” controls based on time and pressure triggers as well as advanced flow algorithms that regulate plunger rise velocity. More significantly, in the current world of plunger applications in liquid-rich plays, new methods for PAGL/GAPL and Gas Lift control have been added. Combine the flexibility of a PLC-based system and the ability to communicate with SCADA (local or cloud-based) with multi-well pad control, and the result is a versatile and powerful system unlike any other.
APPLICATIONS
• Suited for all forms of Plunger Lift, including conventional, continuous, PAGL and GAPL, Gas Lift applications, single wells, and multi-well pads ranging from 2 wells or more, as required.
• Meets advanced optimization needs, whether production-based, injection gas-based, or pad-based.
• High resolution, in-cycle and real-time optimization improves well operations by enhancing efficiency and performance.
• Proper plunger velocity management ensures optimal functionality, reducing wear and extending equipment life.
• Reliable remote operation minimizes the need for on-site intervention, increasing safety and efficiency.
• Advanced control solutions help prevent plunger breakage and surface equipment damage, reducing maintenance costs and downtime.
• Safety-focused technologies support key management objectives, ensuring compliance and operational security.
• Systems are designed for all-line pressure environments and wells with varying gas velocities, including low GLR wells, providing reliable performance in challenging conditions.
FEATURES AND BENEFITS
• Advanced Flow Control (AFC): Well Master’s four exclusive AFC patents provides real-time plunger rise velocity control, maximizing efficiency, preventing fast arrivals, extending plunger life, ensuring equipment integrity and enhancing well safety and environmental security.
• Enhanced Plunger Lift Systems: AFC expands the use of larger diameter plunger lift systems (3-1/2” and 4-1/2”) by eliminating fast arrival concerns.
• SCADA Capabilities: Local, remote, and secure cloud SCADA packages available from Well Master, offering high-frequency real-time data for detailed monitoring, troubleshooting, and well management.
• Control Options: Standard and advanced plunger lift control options, including time-based, velocity-based and pressure-based combinations.
• Durable HMI Panel: Local, hardened touchscreen display for harsh environments (-20°C to 50°C) with multi-language capability.
• PLC-Based Architecture: Flexible architecture allows for pad-wide monitoring and control, managing up to 12 wells per controller.
• Safety and Compliance: Rated for Class 1, Div 2, Groups A, B, C, D.
